Bio:

Kimberly McKinnish is a transformative leader in beer distribution with over 30 years of experience driving industry-wide collaboration, championing innovation and delivering solutions to strengthen the beer category.

As Chief Operating Officer, McKinnish oversees the association’s financial strategy and operational functions, including human resources and information technology. She successfully led NBWA’s 2023 headquarters relocation, securing a modern, impactful home for the industry’s advocacy efforts.

McKinnish spearheaded the creation and growth of NBWA’s Beer First program — a groundbreaking initiative that unites America’s beer industry to grow the traditional beer category. Through data-driven tools and innovative marketing resources, Beer First demonstrates beer’s value to retailers and reinforces its vital role in the marketplace.

She is also passionate about cultivating leaders and advancing beer distribution as a career of choice. McKinnish leads NBWA’s professional growth programs, Building Relationships & Empowering Women (BREW) and the Next Generation Group, which focus on elevating and connecting women and developing future industry leaders.

Before joining NBWA, McKinnish served for 12 years as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of King Wholesale, Inc., the exclusive Anheuser-Busch distributor in three Northern Virginia counties. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Beyond her professional work, McKinnish is committed to community service, serving on numerous boards and supporting local and national charitable organizations. She is the proud mother of two daughters.
